Pregnant woman, her two children, one other killed as LASTMA officer drags steering wheel with driver in Lagos


A yet-to-be-identified pregnant woman, her two children, and the driver of a moving tricycle popularly known as {Keke} were allegedly crushed to death by a driver who was struggling a car steering wheel with men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority {Lastma}.

This incident happened in the early hours of today in ago Palace area of Lagos State.

Our corresponded reports that not less than four persons, including a pregnant woman and her two children, were reportedly killed at Ago Palace Way in Lagos State.

An eyewitness who identified himself as Tobe Stevee told Instinct Newspaper  that a member of the Nigerian Police Force arrested a driver and was asked to drive to the Police station but the driver diverted to Ago Palace.


According to him, the police officer in the passenger seat began to contest with the driver for the steering wheel.

In the process of struggling they both lost control and the car hit a moving tricycle popularly known as {Keke} and killed a pregnant passenger, her two children, and the rider, he said.


Another eyewitness who identified himself as Magdon told our correspondent that an official of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority {Lastma} dragged the steering of a moving vehicle which ended up killing a pregnant woman, her two children, and the keke rider in ago palace area of Lagos State.


All efforts to reach the General Manager, of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Mr. Bolaji Oreagba on the phone prove abortive.
