The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) is intensifying its efforts to combat human trafficking.

In a recent development, three survivors of human trafficking in Edo State were empowered through a skills acquisition program.

The beneficiaries, who endured various forms of exploitation before their rescue, received training in fashion and design, hairdressing, and catering.

The program aims to provide survivors with the tools they need to rebuild their lives and reduce their vulnerability to future exploitation. NAPTIP's Commander for the Zonal office, Nduka Nwanwenene, emphasized the agency's commitment to supporting victims and preventing human trafficking.
