Jos protesters defiant despite curfew

Jos protesters defiant despite curfew

The once bustling Old Airport junction in Jos, a focal point for the #EndBadGovernance protests, now stands eerily quiet.

Following a 24-hour curfew imposed by the state government, protesters have dispersed but vowed to continue their demonstrations.

Protest leader Isa Elbuba has condemned the curfew, labeling it an attempt to suppress the voices of suffering Nigerians.

He highlighted the unprecedented unity between Christians and Muslims during the peaceful protests, dismissing allegations of unrest as a pretext for the government's action.

Elbuba has urged protesters to remain calm and law-abiding during the curfew, assuring them that the movement to reclaim Nigeria will persist.

Despite the government's measures, the spirit of the protest appears undeterred, with demonstrators pledging to resume their actions once the curfew is lifted.
